They are required to do something different, something fun, something bizarre so that they don't get stagnant and continue to innovate which is what Google does so well.We all know that Silly Putty is fun. Turns out that breaking 250 lbs of Silly Putty apart was more difficult than the googlers anticipated. In a related (if not terribly technical) post it turns out that if you "smack Silly Putty with a hammer" it shatters. Cool huh?
