The original idea of the MDHP was to sell one million pixels for $1 each. Anyone in the website design business would tell you that is impossible. "What kind of idiot would pay $100 for a 10x10 pixel ad block?"Apparently there are 999,000 such "idiots". The Million Dollar Homepage is sold out except for 1000 pixels in a 50x20 pixel block. Again I say "Brilliant".
It just goes to show you that any great idea is going to be met with resistance and some degree of negativity. If everyone loves your idea and thinks it's totally rational, you're likely running headlong into mediocre-ville.
