Industry data shows that 75% of Americans have access to the Internet (obviously you are part of that 75%) and what is really interesting is that 45.15% of Internet-connected U.S. households (Almost half of your neighbors) enjoy a high-speed connection.Being a bit geeky I have run speed tests in the past to see how "high-speed" my high-speed internet was. If you care to check your connection speed there is a really slick speed test at speedtest.net. I am on RoadRunner and clocked in at 3307 kbps down and 284 kbps up.
For those of you who are still on dial-up, I can only say don't try a high speed internet connection unless you're ready to pay the piper because once you try it, dial up just won't cut it.
